Thanks for visiting our blog! We’re Lisa and Sam, the Graduate Knitters.
We met in 2012 in Bowling Green, Ohio, at a coffee shop knitting group. Lisa was studying for her MA in history at the time, and I was starting my MA in cross-cultural and international education. Being the only ladies out of the dozen or so knitters under the age of forty, we hit it off right away (and made some amazing older-lady knitting friends in good time, too!).
Lisa is currently working on her second master’s degree in education at Bowling Green State University, and I am working on a research project in East Java, Indonesia.* We both knit a bit everyday and have started doing knit-alongs since we live so far away from one another. This blog was started as a way to keep in touch, share photos and stories with one another, and document the knit life.
